SMOTE
Author: Command Master
Keywords: smote
Type: Command

Syntax: smote <message> - displays the message to the room, where your name must be contained somewhere inside the message text.

Smote works like emote, except your name is not printed first automatically. Instead, you
provide your name (case insensitive) in the text. If your name is not provided an error
message is displayed. This does text highlighting for your name(yellow) and says (green).
You can also use $n and $c for auto replacement for your name. $n will not capitalize your
name, $c will. Note: All player names are already capitalized.

You can also use $n and $c for auto replacement for your name. $n will not capitalize your

name, $c will. Note: All player names are already capitalized.

You can insert your character's pronouns based on your sex: $e (he/she), $s (his/her), and
$m (him/her).
Example:
smote Dayrinni cracks $s knuckles as $e grins.
Would show up as (for a male character):
Dayrinni cracks his knuckles as he grins.

Capitalized $E (he/she), $S (his/her), and $M (him/her) insert your target's pronouns
instead - the nearest player or NPC you name with @ before the token.

Example:
smote You see Dayrinni look at you for a moment, before he says "Hello!"
or
smote You see $n look at you for a moment, before he says "Hello!"

You can target players, NPCs, or objects using the @ prefix. The @ prefix will
automatically be replaced with the target's name.
Example:
smote Dayrinni looks at @john and waves at @sword
Would show up as:
Dayrinni looks at John and waves at iron sword.

Objects are searched in this order: inventory, equipment, then room. Players and NPCs must
be in the same room.

Punctuation after a target is kept, so you can write possessives and asides straight
through.
Example:
smote Dayrinni looks at @john's red eyes, then at @sword...
Would show up as:
Dayrinni looks at John's red eyes, then at an iron sword...

For precise targeting, you can use prefix modifiers:
@name - searches all (player/NPC, then inventory, equipment, room)
@self or @me - your own name, so a line can refer back to you
@p:name - player/NPC only
@i:name - inventory only (also supports slot: @i:2 for slot 2)
@e:name - equipment only
@r:name - room only (also supports slot: @r:3 for slot 3)

This is a role play command - use it to enhance your character!
