How This Works
Real observations, not estimates
- Five-minute monitoring: the status service checks the public game menu every five minutes and records whether the world responded.
- Adventurer activity: averages and peaks use the adventurer count reported by the game. Staff roles are not included in those totals.
- Player-hours: each five-minute sample contributes the combined time represented by the players online. Six players observed for ten minutes equal one player-hour.
- Active time: the percentage of successful samples where at least one adventurer was online.
- Privacy: historical records contain only reachability, time, and aggregate player counts. Character names are shown live but are not stored in activity history.
- Uptime meaning: uptime represents successful checks from the monitoring service. A network interruption between the monitor and game can also appear as a missed signal.
- Long-term history: detailed five-minute samples are retained for 90 days. Anonymous hourly and daily summaries are retained so weekly, monthly, yearly, and record statistics can continue growing.
- Record fairness: daily and weekly average records require substantial coverage so a short partial period cannot become the record.
