While they lack the extreme gifts or drawbacks of other races, Humans excel through drive, curiosity, and the sheer variety of paths open to them. If you want a race that can grow into almost any story, Humans are the perfect starting point.
The oldest known race, Humans have never been limited to just one region. Most major trading centers and multi-race cities tend to attract them, and they have governed many such places throughout recorded history.
Nonplused by bureaucracy, Humans have made some of the best — and worst — Guild and Temple officials. Other races may not understand the appeal, but often prefer humans in those roles.
Humans have the widest variety and largest selection of usable items in all of Dragon's Gate. They have no natural enemies, though a legend warns young Human men not to venture near Arachnian lands during mating season. No one has ever returned to challenge that tale.
