Overview

Dragons are the most powerful of all the races of Dragon's Gate Reborn. They represent the apex of power within the game's racial hierarchy, growing through distinct life stages from young Draco to the ancient and mighty Imperial dragon.

Unlike other races, dragons operate outside standard game structures - they lack a designated class system and do not worship the mortal pantheon of gods.

Life Stages

Dragons progress through four distinct developmental phases as they grow in power and experience:

Stage 1: Draco

The baseline body plan for dragonkind: small, mostly humanoid, and still discovering the world.

  • No wings
  • Softer features
  • Curious, cautious posture

Stage 2: Drake

A larger Draco with newly developed wings and a clear surge in confidence and power.

  • Newly developed wings
  • Increased muscle and confidence
  • Reads as: adolescent, emerging power

Stage 3: Dragon

Fully draconic and regal, with a heavier frame and a distinct reduction in humanoid proportions.

  • Full wings
  • Heavier scale plating
  • Reduced humanoid proportions
  • Reads as: mature, powerful, apex being

Stage 4: Imperial

An ancient, massive presence with a calm, knowing expression and a mythic aura.

  • Larger horns
  • Broader frame
  • Composed, timeless bearing
  • Reads as: mythic, near-divine
