Summary: Bargaining controls buy/sell quote adjustments through haggle/appraise using skill, APP, and CHA against shop/item difficulty.

Notes:
Successful sessions improve quotes; failed sessions return baseline shop quote.

Initial tuning caps adjustment magnitude around 25% with anti-arbitrage guardrails to prevent buy/sell profit loops.

Runtime delay target is 6-8s (baseline 7s).

Player Overview

Description: The ability to haggle with shop owners on prices

Who Can Learn It: Everyone

What It is Supposed to Do: Allow you to buy and sell at lower and higher prices, respectively

What it Does: If successful, you'll make more money, if unsuccessful, you'll make less

Activation: Shop Haggle [Buy|Sell] (Item) Confirm

Usefulness (Low Levels): Negative. You will lose money on almost every attempt. Haggling sessions take too long.

Usefulness (Mid Levels): Positive. You will make money on most attempts, haggling sessions will not take as long.

Usefulness (High Levels): Extremely Beneficial. You will make double the money he was offering on most attempts, haggling sessions also do not take as long.

How to Practice: All haggling sessions will allow you some experience, though successful sessions will allow you more than unsuccessful.

Tips: Haggle away all things that the shopkeeper would pay less than 1 gold for until you are successfully bargaining often. Take all items out of carryables and sell them all separately.
