Summary: Detect Traps identifies trap state on objects via detect trap on <object>; it does not disarm by itself.

Notes:
Results use three tiers: no signal, suspicious, or confirmed trap.

Resolution scales by skill and perception/intelligence against trap difficulty.

Delay target is 6-8s; valid attempts grant skill use progress.

Player Overview

Description: Detect Traps is the ability to find traps before they go off.

Who Can Learn It: Anyone seems to be able to learn Detect Traps.

What It is Supposed to Do: Allow you to find traps and other dangerous obstacles.

What it Does: Runs a trap-detection check on the target object and reports uncertain, suspicious, or confirmed trap state. It does not remove traps.

Activation: detect trap on [target].

Usefulness (Low Levels): None

Usefulness (Mid Levels): None

Usefulness (High Levels): None

How to Practice: You have to have injuries, or treat someone with injuries.

Tips: None

Unconfirmed Rumors (May or May Not Be True): There may, in fact, be one or two traps hidden in the game (their location known only by the highest-level thieves). Extremely buggy and not able to be disarmed/removed, they can still be detected.. if one knows where to look.

Notes:
Remove Traps is the "companion" skill to Detect Traps.
