Skill Overview

Entry Last Update: January 27, 2026

Description: The ability to harness the power of your diety to battle the undead.

Who Can Learn It: Clerics

What It is Supposed to Do: Allow you to immobilize, fear or destroy (dust) an undead.

What it Does: If successful, the target will: 1) be instantly turned to dust, dropping all lootable items and coin. 2) become fearful for a time and flee the area (if able). 3) become immobilized for a time.

Activation: turn <target>

Usefulness (Low Levels): A frustrating time sink, and tiring (fatigue cost).

Usefulness (Mid Levels): Great for fighting low level undead.

Usefulness (High Levels): Great for fighting most undead.

How to Practice: Everyone has some skeletons in their closet. Find some skeletons and turn them. Once you turn them to dust faster than they respawn, move to more difficult undead.

Tips: The Skeleton closet of the haunted house historically can hold only 3 skeletons. The master bedroom just outside it holds 8 skeletons. Sit in the closet wearing really cheap or no armor and a shield. Turn the 2nd skeleton a few times, cast vigor touch on yourself and then channel (lay hands on yourself). Grab any coin from dusted skeletons. It adds up. Leave that 1st skeleton alone to keep you in combat and practicing your other skills.

Unconfirmed Rumors (May or May Not Be True): Skill, willpower and possibly your level of devotion affect this skill.

Notes: (May or May Not Be True): I heard healing spells hurt the undead instead of healing them. If things don't work right, remember to heal the undead.
